Pair Test Devices

EZPush allows you to receive test push messages with a production app installed, without the need to build a separate version.

You don't need to compose additional test notifications. You can send a test notification to your test devices just before publishing a campaign.

Register a Test Device

To register a device as a test device, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Prerequisites:

    • A device equipped with a functioning camera.
    • The device must have an app installed that includes the EZ-Push SDK.
    • Access to the Client Console.

  2. Registration Process:

    • Log in to the Client Console.
    • Navigate to the 'test devices' page.
    • Click on Add new test device.
    • A popup will appear displaying a QR code. Scan this QR code using the camera app on your phone.
    • The app containing the EZ-Push SDK will open and show an alert that specifies wether the registration was successful or not
      • The device name will be the type of the phone, i.e. iPhone 13 Pro or Google PIXEL 8
      • Note: You can rename the device in the test devices section

  3. Finalization:

    • Your device will be listed as a test device.
    • It is now ready to receive test notifications.

Sending Test Notifications

Sending test notifications is easier than sending real notifications. While composing a campaign, once you have filled in the title and the text of your push notification, you can use the Send Test Notification button to send a test before publishing your campaign. After clicking this button, a popup will appear, showing all your registered test devices. Simply choose the recipients and click on Send. Your message should be delivered and displayed instantly on your test device.
